Raleigh, NC, February 04, 2021 - M2 Optics, the leading provider of customized solutions for fiber network simulation and optical time delay applications, today announced the Fiber Lab Flex DC as a new product in their popular Fiber Lab portfolio. The new solution offers the most space-efficient and scalable approach for data center engineering teams deploying time delays for latency-driven applications. The Fiber Lab Flex DC is patent-pending.
M2 Optics Inc., a manufacturer of customized testing and networking platforms for fiber optic communications, has been awarded a patent (#9,696,512) by the USPTO for a specially designed fiber optic cable feedthrough branded the FT adapter. The purpose of this adapter is to allow a fiber optic cable to pass through a variety of panel types, such as a device enclosure, without requiring an additional connection point on the panel itself.
The SwitchLightTM enables users to select and route specific wavelengths at the physical layer for communications network monitoring, multicasting, and other optical add-drop applications.
The efficient Flex-PON system is ideal for PON testing and training applications, as it is both customized to the user’s requirements and easily re-configured for changing requirements.
Topics: PON
Designed for companies developing and deploying fiber-based systems, the Fiber Lab 3200R allows users to showcase their test fiber in the most professional and sophisticated manner.
With the ability to provide up to 288 optical splitters in a standard 3RU chassis, or 48 in a 1RU chassis, the SplitLight modular platform offers network operators a scalable alternative that saves both rack space and costs.
Topics: PON, optical taps
Companies team up to develop LightClick management software for M2’s SwitchLight solution. The companies will display the solution at Interop 2014 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, in Narra Systems’ Booth #2166, from April 1st-3rd.
Topics: optical switching
SwitchLight™ addresses multiple optical networking applications within a single device to reduce complexity, cost, and space.
Topics: optical switching
Already offering the highest density of passive optical taps in 1RU for network monitoring applications, the SplitLight can also be customized to address both WDM and PON splitter applications in a single platform.
