Designed with a rugged and easily transportable travel case, the new solution simulates multiple types of fiber optic links, resulting in a highly valuable tool for several important communications applications.

Purpose-built to eliminate the hassle of managing multiple fiber optic components, Fiber Lab MSP simplifies the task of simulating multiple fiber optic spans in locations where it can be more challenging such as classrooms, conference spaces, and on-site customer visits. The versatile solution includes several fiber lengths with integrated components (network “events”) such as 1xN splitters, in-line connectors, and good/bad splices for a truly real-world network experience. Fiber Lab MSP simulates point-to-point (P2P), Passive Optical Network (PON) / Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), and cell tower spans all in a single unit, making it perfect for training field technicians to use test devices like an OTDR, or sales teams to conduct equipment demonstrations anywhere they go.

Each standard Fiber Lab MSP unit includes a 55m cell tower fiber with in-line connector, 8km P2P fiber with good in-line splices, 8km P2P fiber with good and bad in-line splices, and 21.5km PON/FTTx fiber with multiple in-line connectors to a 1x8 splitter (includes 4 outputs with lengths from 300m-1km). However, like all Fiber Lab products, complete re-designs and customizations are available for those that require a specific setup design modified to their exact needs. The extra-rugged enclosure ensures protection during travel and easier storage when not in use.
